For the last year, I've been focused on organisational transformation using AI and starting to deliver a program aimed at doing this inside Snyk. In this talk I'll present some of the challenges we've found in putting together this kind of program, along with some best practices we've picked up along the way. I'll cover governance and strategy, security, education, access to tools and application development. AI adoption, like any technology change, ends up being less about technology and more about changing mindsets, ultimately a people problem!

Matt Jarvis is a Director of AI Operations at Snyk. Matt has spent more than 20 years building products and services around open source software, on everything from embedded devices to large scale distributed systems. Matt is a regular speaker at conferences across the world, including KubeCon, Open Source Summit, FOSDEM and All Things Open, a past winner of the OpenStack Outstanding Community Contributor award, and in 2021 was named one of the Top 100 influencers in Open Technologies in the UK. Matt is also Vice Chair of OpenUK, sits on the OpenUK AI Advisory board and is a co-founder of Cloud Native Manchester and Kubernetes Community Days UK.
