    AI in Wildlife Conservation

    Learn from Henrik

"We have a tiny little ambitious project of preventing the sixth mass extinction. So, you know, pet project... But what we do is we build new technologies and we've been working on building AI tech for the wildlife conservation space for five and a half years or so"

AI is transforming industries globally, and wildlife conservation is no exception. Conservationists handle vast amounts of environmental data daily, and nature’s unpredictability only adds to the challenge. AI can help process this data efficiently, allowing for real-time action in the field.

In this session, we’ll explore how AI is solving critical conservation issues—including detecting poachers, identifying behaviour and diseases, and protecting endanger species. We’ll discuss practical applications, focusing on the role of AI in transforming raw environmental data into insights that can drive faster conservation actions.

This session will address the challenges of deploying AI in remote, rugged environments and how AI is shaping sustainable, scalable conservation practices for the future.

Whether you’re an AI enthusiast, conservationist, or someone interested in the intersection of technology and nature, this session provides a comprehensive overview of AI’s potential to drive planetary-scale conservation efforts.
