When AI Advances, So Do the Risks: Risk Management Insights from AI Safety Research

    Thursday 16th October 2025 • 2:40 PM - 3:10 PM

Advanced AI models present rapidly evolving risks. We begin with an overview of frontier AI models (e.g., Gen AI models) and their advanced capabilities across the spectrum from Artificial Narrow Intelligence (ANI) to Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI).

Soung will examine key risks arising from these capabilities, such as misuse risk and emergent misalignment. In addition, we will learn about enterprise-level risks from the adoption of AI tools, including challenges in data governance, operational reliance, and regulatory compliance. This session concludes with practical approaches to risk mitigation and management, such as risk assessments and usage controls, to support responsible AI adoption.
